    just like this:

there's an open grommet just behind the headlight that all the main wires feed through, and then there's another grommet just inside the driver-side door where all those wires come into the car

So I saw a thread where you stated you never had to take off the fender to feed your wire to the battery. I need to run a 4gauge wire through that area and would much rather not remove the fender. How exactly did you push it through with a wire hanger and where does the grommet let out in and outside of the car? It seems everybody just wants to remove the fender.

I seen you when you pulled up and thought your car looked like one I had seen before, was going to say I but I must have been in the middle of something. I noticed your decal, if you want an actual region decal, let me know.

    once it's done ;)

i've tried keeping progress threads going on more then one forum and it just doesn't work out very good-- i always end up forgetting to update one thread, and copy/pasting between forums doesn't always work, as the info on each forum is usually a little different--mostly because anyone that can help with product suggestions and what-not are already at the other forum so it seems crazy to ask twice-- i see it like double posting...

you can always see the progress in my thread at hidplanet:

this is the harness to plug into the amp wire to get the audio signal:
Metra Part # 70-7003 | Mitsubishi wire harness | Metra Online

and this is the bypass kit, though it doesn't list the parts included, so i can't confirm--there should be like 16' of 8-conductor wire with it.

Soundman, Do you have any pictures(Part number for the Mitah, amp relocation kit etc) to go with this instructional thread? My MR400692 corroded out; and I am not ready to replace it. I am pretty illiterate in this electronics arena.... I just want my factory radio to work! I really would appreciate any help. Thanks, Karen01 spyder
"What do I NEED to do to bypass the factory amp (which of the two adapters?) so we can actually hear audio again?2 harnesses on factory amp are a small black one which gives the signal to the amp and a bigger white one which is amp to speakers. To bypass the amp you need the 8 audio wires from the larger harness at the amp radio side:the 'easiest' way to connect to the stock speaker wires is to locate a 'amp relocation kit' or 'amp delete kit' .However what your concerned with for a factory amp bypass is the main harness with the main power connections there is no remote amp turn on or ground on the main harness. An amp delete/remove kit would be easier"
