I found on another forum that they had done a chat thread. So I thought it would be a good idea to start one here. We can talk about things that pertain specifically to our state and what not. NJ represent

So first off I would like to introduce myself I am Paul and I am from North Haledon. I try to attend the Whiskey Cafe meets which are weekly. Its right off of route 3 in Lynhurst. Hope to see some of you guys there.

I'm Andrew Lukosevic, i'm a Marine and I live in South River...Not to far from New Brunswick just down route 18. I'm in virginia until mid-august but after that i'm home! So i'll try to get to meets. I'd love to meet fellow 3g jersians

I'm thinking about getting a meet together sometime over the summer. Hopefully after I get this god f--king turbo in. All I need is the downpipe and I can go ahead with the install. Who'd be up for a meet sometime in like, August?

Oh you'd be surprised at the budget I'm working with here. I got everything ready over spring break to put it on, didn't realize the turbo manifold placed the turbo right next to the A/C compressor. So first I had to get that removed. Then, I went to get my injectors put in, found out they were the wrong impedance, so I had to get a resistor pack. Then, I found my oil feed wasn't long enough to reach the block adapter plate, so I'm getting some fittings. All on near-minimum wage for single-digit hours, minus tuition fees and gas, obviously.

tl;dr Little things keep going wrong, not enough money to fix them quickly. Remember, this is my first time turbocharging any vehicle, and I'm learning a lot very quickly as I go along.

Unfortunately for me. Meets this summer will be difficult. For the next few Weeks I am planning and sorting out things for my brothers wedding.(we don't believe in wedding planners lol). And then after that the holy month of Ramadan starts. So probably will be a whole lot of doing nothing at all.

Well, anybody who wants to can come to the Brookdale meet. It's exit 114 on the Garden State Parkway, I can give you step-by-step directions if need be. So far the Facebook page doesn't look like it'll be anywhere near the last meet (250 people as opposed to this one's 80-ish) but it'll be good to get together some 3G's. I'll hit up Jorel and a few other close-by people, but I think I'll set up the next major C3G meet at the Woodbridge Mall since it's a good-sized hub for everybody around here.

And rice_rocket, I haven't been up there but if you give me an address and date I may show up one of these days. It's a good hour trip from me, but what's the turnout usually like? Any good exotics?

I never been to that meet either but I do know rt. 46. That's where my Wednesday night usually is. But in Totowa which is about 5-10 minutes away from Parsippany.

That'd be pretty sweet. We had a good turnout at the Brookdale meet today btw. Seven 3G's, me and Jorel were talking more about this upcoming meet. Not sure which one of the three of us wants to organize it, Paul, since Jorel said he wanted to get it planned, but I recommend the Woodbridge Mall as a venue again.. It seems to be a good distance for everyone. But let's try to find a date that works well for everyone.

Use photobucket to host pictures. It makes it a whole lot easier for everybody to see. Just upload on to there then insert the image link into the box that pops up when you click on the insert image button at the top of this text box.

Seven 3G's, me and Jorel were talking more about this upcoming meet. Not sure which one of the three of us wants to organize it, Paul, since Jorel said he wanted to get it planned, but I recommend the Woodbridge Mall as a venue again.. It seems to be a good distance for everyone. But let's try to find a date that works well for everyone.
