Registering a new car in another state!!

Hello all,

I found a great deal on an 08 Eclipse in MD from a dealer. The dealer couldn't sell me the car because they said that they couldn't get it to past inspection in Maryland. I heard MD inspection is strict since it's a one time only for a car unless transferring owners. The car has aftermarket wheels, lowered, lip kit, and aftermarket exhaust. I am so tempting to buy the car and drive it back to NC where my parents lives and register it there. What do you guys think? Only reason i'm considering this is because the car has low miles and drives/looks great. NC inspection is nothing compared to MD.

You can find inspection stations that'll inspect it and won't fail you. Check with some performance shops for tips and suggestions. I've had friends with highly modded cars that have passed, I guess it's just who ya know.
