OFFICAL 2007 L.I. ANNUAL BBQ MEET

Sup Everyone,

This year i will be organizing this years Annual Long island BBQ meet,
I will be holding the meet at Captree This year instead of OBI since Captree has on site BBQ grills and a beach and Volley-ball net and sand, boardwalk, restrooms, and all the good stuff. there is a $6 entrance Fee to let u know, most of your should remember last years mid summer meet,

Its a BYOS meet everyone, So i'm going to need people to bring stuff, like usual, We need people to bring soda, hotdogs, burgers, charcoal, grills, water, beers, plates, coolers, Lumpias Ahem Ahem Flippy,etc.

- The Pre-Meet: There will be no pre-meet this year because of the date changed everyone was asking for since the meet is held on a Saturday.
But we will at meet at greggs house before 11:30 sharp prefer 10:30-11:00

Anyone need the address to Greggs house Pm me or Email me at Daviexdave@aol.com for any more questions or details

- The Main Meet: Saturday June 16th at 12:00Noon, *DATE CHANGED*
It'll be at Captree State park/Beach at the end of Ocean parkway
i Will be trying to find us a Spot Close to the cars on the beach,
Anyone needs any info want to meet up with me they can Email me and i'll give my Number to you and call me to meet me up.

Frank and i Went to captree and Took pics of the Route to get to the parking lot,

its the same route to OBI( just keep going pass OBI till the End.
It's basically after the entree point the Road splits and you take the Right side and boom theres the parking lot, look for my car and lets all park as close together as possible,

OK heres the picture Directions to Captree for those that don't remember.
keep going east on ocean parkway till the very end, you will see the entrance to captree island park. Pay the $6 fare and follow the instructions.

1: Pay the Entry fee and keep to the right

2: keep to the right for the picnic area.

3: Go around the bend till you see the parking lot.

4: Park the car as close as possible to the cars and head over to the beach pass the bathrooms

5: The Beach and Picnic Areas.

6: the Boardwalk and Fishing Area

I'm from PA, and I'd be interested in possibly coming up for this meet. Would that be cool? I really only ever attend local meets, so I was thinking it might be cool to travel out to a meet somewhere further away to meet some new people and have some fun. I'd need an address or something so that I can get MapQuest directions and an approximate travel distance/time from Williamsport or State College.

Last year I didn't go because we were planning the wedding, but this year there is not excuse.

About 3-4 hours depending on traffic. I come to and fro from Kennet Sq and Philly all the time.

Hmmm... I think we should poll about a day. I know a lot of people don't come to that one because it's memorial day weekend and the traffic is horrible. I think some time in June would be better. Anybody?

Traditionally Frank organizes the meet, move it after june 10th so i can get back from Poland/Montreal!

Also Linda will be in Italy for Mem day weekend so Gregg would also be all for moving the date.

I think June 9th or June 16th Saturday would be the best date as it'll give everyone Sunday to recover.

Either way, Dave you choose the date and stick with it.

I think June 9th or June 16th Saturday would be the best date as it'll give everyone Sunday to recover. Either way, Dave you choose the date and stick with it.
