Factory MOD 2012

This fall, come to Normal, Illinois and join us for Factory MOD - Mitsubishi Owners Day 2012 held at the Mitsubishi Motors Factory. There will be enthusiastic owners and fans joined together to share their passion for all things Mitsubishi! There will be food and drinks, music, and Mitsubishi cars! What more could you want? This is a family-friendly event, so bring the kids and the dog.

When: September 22, 2012
9:00am - 1:00pm
Where: 100 N. Mitsubishi Motorway
Normal, IL 61761

Church (pre factory meeting) will be at 7:30 AM Sat at Hawthorne Suites in Bloomington for those who from 3G that want to follow us to the factory. This year we are going to be there when gates open to be sure us a spot instead of the "Back 40". If you wish to join, you need to be there.

I am going to do some searching to see if I can find a canopy like Special K has, for this year... Maybe we can park and set up by the other eclipses and get more recognition.

Are you going to actually park by your club this year?

No, everyone isnt bringing a canopy, 1 or 2 will actually bring one, the biggest out of the group will be used for our hangout. We try to be central located to bring more attention to the club for present members and for some that may still not know we exist. GLR banner/s will be flown high to guide the masses.

So I know what I want to bring up was a cause of a series of events (ones in which I will not bring up) but I will bring it to attention again.

I know we are a club, and as a club we want to stand out above the rest of the cars/groups there. But we do we always head strait to the very back of the lot where NO ONE want to walk back to? I know they have sections dedicated to Lancer/Evo/Eclipse/Galant. Why cant we "roll" in as a group and take over these sections instead of creating our own. Like bwracing00 said, no getting there at 11 am when the event starts at 9 am.

I dont know if this is to much to ask or not. But if we want to do this we need to be punctual and not drag our heals getting there. This is totaly up to the rest of you. I just feel like we are furthering ourselves away from what the event is truly for. Owners of Mitsubishis gathering share their passion for all things Mitsubishi, not segrigating ourselves away from the event. Just a thought, take it with a grain of salt if you like.

-The person I booked had no clue what was going on.
-When I showed up, there was no record of me booking the room (even though I did call back to confirm my room)

And lest we forget that Rick was given a room that someone was already in..in fact, that person was taking a shower as Rick entered

Honestly, I don't see that being a problem. I talked to Kevin the other night and him and Tara sound like they may make the trip and I just texted Chippy. Momma Bear abd I will be booking our room tonight.... Loco are we doing our normal?

I agree, this year we can't be as late as we have been in yester years. Which means we (including myself) have to either have our cars washed early AM or the night before, and brewkfast has to br quick or on the go... cause lors knows I can't go without my coffee. We pretty much have to be in our convoy ready to go around 9/9:30ish or we will run into the same situation.

Also Ed, do we need to check on a alibility of room for our canopy or jist tight knit the cara around it?

I agree too. But, I think we still can be together and not be so far away. There is plenty of room and we can make room for the canopy as well. But, up to everyone. As far as timing, Mitsu has shortened the total time so I think we need to be there at 9:00 AM. Just me 2 cents worth.

I know we are a club, and as a club we want to stand out above the rest of the cars/groups there. But we do we always head strait to the very back of the lot where NO ONE want to walk back to? I know they have sections dedicated to Lancer/Evo/Eclipse/Galant. Why cant we "roll" in as a group and take over these sections instead of creating our own. Like bwracing00 said, no getting there at 11 am when the event starts at 9 am. I dont know if this is to much to ask or not. But if we want to do this we need to be punctual and not drag our heals getting there. This is totaly up to the rest of you. I just feel like we are furthering ourselves away from what the event is truly for. Owners of Mitsubishis gathering share their passion for all things Mitsubishi, not segrigating ourselves away from the event.
