Local AMS GT-R sets record
Guy here is Rochester, NY has had AMS play around with the turbo set up for his GT-R. Looks like he has the fastest mph in the 1/4 for all GT-R's. The car he beat was also running C16 and it sounds like it had more mods.
AMS GT-R goes 10.48 @ 134.30! - Car Videos on StreetFire Here is what he lists as the only mods: I think the reason why people are excited is because its a local car getting alot of attention and press. Not to mention the mods done on the car, which are essentially nothing special, are performing VERY WELL. These turbos arent even in there effeciency range yet.... Mod list- Mildly modified stock turbos Full exhuast Injectors And a tune However, there are NOT very many everyday DD cars around here that can run 10's on pump gas and trap near 135mph that make the pass seem so effortless. This is not a caged, built motor, big turbo or nitrous car. its a street car that can be used for various types of motorsports. |

Who knows. Plenty of upgraded parts out there now for the stock trans. All you really need is to replace 1st gear, a few seals and get rid of the stock trans fluid and you should be pretty close to worry free.

Hi all,
Im Mike. I stumbled on your forum when looking @ the video on street fire. To the guy who is from Rochester.... what up ![]() I just want to clear the air up about the "turbo upgrade"... They are modified stock turbos.... including the stock exhaust manifolds/turbine housing. Believe me, this is mild.... This isnt a "turbo upgrade" the way most of you are thinking.... Again, this is all done on pump gas where the other shops are using race gas + have more mods then we do. With a few more tweaks this car will run high 9's very soon :-) |
