tranny bell housing trouble
so clutch was slipping and decided to replace. I followed the how to in the forum but now when i try to put everything back together the stupid bell housing wont go in. I think im just not aligning it right but man been workin on it for three days now and i need some insight to maybe what the problem might be. Also if one of the bolts holding the flywheel are broken will that cause a problem in the future. thanks

Is your clutch alignment tool lining the clutch up properly when you use it?
And get those broken flywheel bolts replaced. You don't want to have to pull your tranny apart when you flywheel starts chattering.

The dealership will have them, possibly an autoparts store.

i have had my tranny out three times so i might be of some help. is it the bellhousing itself thats hitting somewhere? or do you have it lined up straight and it just wont get close enough to the block to start bolting it up? i had problems with both so let me know and we'll go from there

ok well one of the problems i ran into was the bellhousing kept hitting up top on the thermostat housing and on the rear mount after you get passed all the the next issue would be the input shaft. i had to keep wigglin my tranny around til it finally went. also, one thing to check is to see if the bolt holes are lined up straight. if they arent then that could also be part of the problem. also as previously stated. do not put that tranny in until all your flywheel bolts are fixed. you dont wanna have to do all this again in a few weeks lol

if you keep breaking bolts you might as well just buy all new ones just to be safe. as for the little gasket type piece i think it goes facing in but not 100% on that. too bad you live a long ways away otherwise i'd just come help ya do it lol. having mine out three times kinda sucked but im gettin fairly good at it haha
