I set up a nice shopping cart last night with parts for my Civic coupe for $38 for 3 belts, an exhaust flange gasket, oil pan gasket, and throttle body gasket. Awesome price. Then I went to set up shipping, and the parts were going to ship from 4 different locations and was going to cost me $27. Im better off staying local.

As you are setting up your shopping carts to minimize shipping costs:

* Use the truck icons in the shopping cart and in the catalog to help you minimize the number of locations your order will ship from. If the shipping address that you enter is recognized as a business by our carriers your shipping rate will be adjusted when you attempt to place your order.

Well, I've come to write a new review.
I noticed when doing an oil change on my Stratus that my spark plug wire was swelled up due to oil. That means new valve cover gasket, spark plug tube seals, and wires. Advance auto parts online came up to $79.64 for a no-name spark plug wire set (Xact for $50.99.. Thats for 2 wires!) and FelPro gasket set for $19.99, with shipping at $8.66 (for comparison purposes I added shipping).

I figured Id give RockAuto another chance, and made a cart up. For brand name Bosch spark plug wires, they wanted $12.98. The same exact Felpro gasket set was $14.81. Add in commercial shipping, and subtract the discount code, the total was $39.18 shipped.

Site was simple to use and prices are great, will definitely use again!

I enjoy using rock auto and their indexing system. Pearl, I know it wouldn't make all the difference but don't forget that Advanced also has the BIG15, BIG25, and BIG35 discount codes.

Edit- it may be BIG10, BIG20, BIG30....

Bought some Suspension/alignment stuff for the rear of my car the other day, paid for two day shipping as well - used the code, and they shipped out via Fedex, got the parts before noon 2 business days later, good stuff.

Kinda obvious an online retailer will be cheaper. Hell, Advance online is cheaper than in store and we cannot match our own online store. I work for Advance and still buy from RockAuto. Retail chain stores prices are set by local competition.
