lol yeah, every CR-Z owner has seen Roddy's car
In other news, I fixed the idle issue. All I had to do was change the idle rpm values to the stock GS MT values. Had to edit about 4-5 tables ("idle in drive" [in a manual car? lol], idle in neutral, ac rpm, etc). I don't know why they were different than stock (some were way off, much more than the difference between a GS vs an EVO). The idle screw was pretty much all the way in too. Had to back it out a bit after getting a low idle CEL. The more I work on this car the more I find things that have been altered. I doubt it was stock with the previous owner - looks like he just sold it after going back to stock. Last edited by CloudINC00; 09/13/2012 at 12:06 AM. |

Haven't had time to work on the Spyder lately, just been slowly taking the old GS apart. Been doing some minor scaling fixes when I can though. Car drives like stock so thats good.
Here's my CR-Z build if anyone is interested: del's build thread - Honda CRZ Forum: Honda CR-Z Hybrid Car Forums |

Its pretty much this in the left side of the trunk with that green quick disconnect on the neg terminal which is just grounded on the baby seat mounting bolts:

And the "final look" of the CR-Z
![]() ![]() ![]() The eclipse is about a week away from being driveable. I'm waiting on parts because the oil feed fitting broke off inside the oil feed line. After I fix that, I can throw on the exhaust and IC piping/intake temporarily so I can drive it to a shop to get hard piping welded on and the exhaust properly mounted (right now its only using two stock exhaust mounts and hanging by steel wire in the back - just so I can drive it to the shop) |

Might sound crazy, but what do you guys think about neo chrome faced C2s on the eclipse? Like:
![]() or ![]() But just the face. The wheels I have are 3pc. I wont be powder coating the hoop nor the lip. I want a crazy color for the face |

Did all four motor mounts today. Waiting on the rest of the suspension bushings. Still waiting on oil feed components. I'm so ready to get this car started, most of the hard parts are done.

The more I look at the car, the more I wish I did some kind of wire tuck or at least repainted the engine bay

lol, the CRZ is going to stay mostly stock for now. However, my friends are really into road-course and the Z has really good handling with the new suspension (unlike the eclipse, which is mostly a drag car for now). I might be tempted to do a lot of suspension/stiffness/traction mods on the Z and use it for road-course/road racing. Heres a short video I shot last time we went:

Damn, I didn't know that your old car was out of commission. Looks like the new project is coming along nicely

It was just a seized motor but I wanted to go manual. I found this Spyder really cheap and it was already manual lol. Whatever parts are too rusted to save (since it has 200k miles and the owner didn't care for it), I can just take from the old 3g (since I babied it)

It's all done... part 1 that is! (Just waiting for the oil feed plate for the turbo before I can start it up)
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -Part 1.2 is to get tuned. -Part 1.4 is get the hard piping and exhaust redone. -Part 1.6 is to clean up the engine bay and do a light tuck once I know I don't have anymore major issues (like over-heating) or leaks. -Part 2 is to strip the interior like crazy. I'd leave it like that but you could use SS Radiator hose I guess .

Woot! Just got a set of EVO8 wheels for the Eclipse. Should be here soon. I think I'll drive the heck out of these no-brand wheels/tires first.
Thanks for the quick replies. I'm thinking of getting a silicone radiator hose to chop up for the recirc or take measurements and find one as close to it as possible. I did not use a distribution block with the battery relocation. I think I need the big 3 (or even 4) ground kit now since the battery is pretty far. Oh and I'm really not looking forward to the suspension bushing install lmao Last edited by CloudINC00; 01/15/2013 at 04:38 PM. |

I wish I saw this sooner but to anyone going turbo you should grab this:
OBX DIY Cold Air Intake Pipe Chrysler Sebring 3 0L V6 | eBay OBX is going to stop making intakes for our cars so they're selling the tubes they've already made and are keeping their cheap couplers/screw clamps. With this you get the option of getting your own 3-ply couplers and t-bolt clamps (needed for boost) and you have the upper intercooler piping already made instead of having to take it to a shop like I am. |

Yeah it's the daily so I don't lower it any more than what I have now. There's still room to go extremely low.

This is probably a stupid question, but what's the purpose of the...thing...hanging out above the can?
