the one im building im going to part out.

Stage 1 RPW camshaft and those stainless steel valve springs.

Yeah, his head already had all the work done and I was tired of trying to find someone to build the head for me. I think Playa's friend was supposed to help me out

the flange is CNC cut, tb flange is CNC cut (made for a 75mm accufab tb), velocity stacks are made, backing plat is cnc is cut, injector boses are made -- all that needs t obe done is the plenum has to be made and welded together

car is very close to being startd, im excited

relocated the p/s cooler

making my own fuel cell, since the plastic ones are a piece of shit -- they leak at the fittings since they use a teflon washer and a jam nut. the aluminum cell still needs a sump made and bunch of other work

run new p/s lines to go around the engine so taking an engine out will be a piece of cake, these are the lines that are a pain in the ass when doing engine swaps

and here she is ready to be awakened

Gorrilla welds. FTW They are big and ugly, but they are strong. BTW, are you going to pressure test the fuel cell before use?

i dont think they are ugly at all aluminum welds all come out like that, they are just wider than the usual cause i added extra filler

i pressure tested it at 5psi already, i just need to water test it

no, its not a race car

roll cage might be in the works soon.. not a priority though. priority is getting this running good and then swap the evo-built motor in, and then worry about that

how much would it cost for you to finish up that intake manifold? Mine cracked where the throttle body is and I need a new one. ASAP... haha...

BTW: Nice work there man... updates on oil pan? haha... I also always thought you were going DOHC

i am going dohc -- this is my test setup
i did extensive work on the car over the winter which i'd like to test all out on the sohc motor and ensure everything is running the way it is before i put my built motor in (which is done too!)

i pmed you about your oil pan asking if you got it or not, i do have a tracking number if you want, pm me

the intake manifold that i have for aluminum will cost you an arm and a leg to complete to be honest -- it needs the core component -- the plenum

so far the cost of it is 300 cdn with the velocity stacks, backing plate, injector bosses, intake manifold flange, 75mm throttle body flange
the most expensive part is the intake manifold flange which had to be cut on a cnc

if you want just that and want to take it to a local shop to get the plenum made, i can sell it to you for a lot cheaper since youll be making more use of it then it sitting around

if that doesnt work, i do have a stock intake manifold around here

btw, did you have the 2 brackets connected to your intake manifold? the throttle body stay and the intake manifold stay (the one that goes on the bottom)

fuel line return hoses made.. i had to get rid of the rubber ones and put ss braided ones cause apparently you can only have 12" of total rubber hose according to nhra regulations

It would be funny to see the looks on peoples' faces when you pull up to the gas station and pop your trunk to fill up.

Amazing work as always.

haha last year when i was running the plastic fuel cell.. the gas station attendant came running to me screaming "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!"
then he sees my tank in the rear and goes "oh" and walks away..

it's funny as hell when people wonder what you're doing -- but i guess after a while it did get annoying and i was trying to find gas stations that werent busy

sorry for not updating in a while!

i went to the drag strip though to run consistent 13.337 @ 112 mph, i can post up time slips if anyone needs to see all the little fine details. i was running around 2.2 / 2.3 60 foot times! i need to run with slicks and see if i can break into the 12s with the poor stock sohc

to give you a comparison to my built sohc motor with a 50 trim, i was running 12.98 @ 114mph, best trap was 116~ mph.. so this gt35r on this OEM motor running 14 psi is pretty goddamn fast

i estimate its making around 340whp / 355 wtq.. but we will see on the dyno on august 2nd

i drive it every day on the street when its running

the built motor i think ill install this winter since i cant waste anymore time working on it since winter is just around the block once again

the built motor i used the 4g64 block with 4g64 crank, the pistons were custom speced to drop the compression to 7.8:1, the rods were eagle rods, arp main studs, arp head studs, clevite bearings... thats about it for the block

then there's the basic stuff for the evo head that's done to it

the built motor i used the 4g64 block with 4g64 crank, the pistons were custom speced to drop the compression to 7.8:1, the rods were eagle rods, arp main studs, arp head studs, clevite bearings... thats about it for the block

then there's the basic stuff for the evo head that's done to it
What boost u want to run on 7.8:1 40 i want to see it.
I will swap my head and build my motor this winter so it is going to be done at same time as yours. I will probably upgrade turbo to keep up with your bad boy .
PS I need to find good shop to port, and oversize ports of my head. Where yours was done?

Really nice numbers!! STOCK 4g64 + gt35r @ 14psi =13.25 1/4 mile. That is impressive. I can't wait to see the numbers with the slicks on. Keep us updated.
