My Nite-Shaded reverse lights!
Hey guys. I'm at it again, with my newest project. Nite-Shaded (OEM) reverse lights. I only tinted the white part and not the red (reflector) part.....I just wanted to try it out.
![]() *Edit* (Pictures with them installed!) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() BTW, I also made a how-to for my fellow 3g'ers! ![]() How-to: Nite-Shades! Before: ![]() After: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() *Finally got around to waxing them....... ![]() ![]() I wanted them to match my tail lights......I didn't want a completely blacked out look. Thanks for looking! Since I will not be offering this as a service. Any members that are wanting to do this project, but honestly do not feel like risking a set of lights, you can contact HIJACKER. He does this as a service, so contact him for further details!

And I would install them right now, but the weather down here is bad, so I'm going to have to wait until it gets better.
But in the meantime, here is a teaser picture of what it should look like. It's a photoshop....

no rubbing compound for the fine scratches?
Use a heavy foam (white_ pad from 3M on the buffer and 3M rubbing compound. Afterwards, use a final glaze and polish (not wax) with a dark soft polish foam pad. That combination will leave the finish looking like glass and its essentially the same as painting a body panel. Just be prepared for the cost of equipment/supplies if you plan to duplicate: Sandpaper - $6/package - $18 for all grits 3M Rubbing compound - $35 3M Final Glaze - $35 Black Pad - $20 White Pad - $20 Polish - $5 Can of Niteshades - $9 Clearcoat - $5 ----$148 if you were to start from scratch + cost of corners. Assuming you take shortcuts and only need essentials, $18 for sandpapers, $9 for niteshades, $5 for clearcoat - $32 total (assuming you have buffing pads, compounds, polish, etc. |

Hijacker, I didn't use any compounds, and my tails are very shiny, used 3 coats or semi-thick clear, but they look very good, I paid like $6 for clear and only bought 1 pack of 1000 grit sand paper for $5, and 1 can of nite shades worked for ALL of my lights and they are all really dark, I'll try and get some pics.
