Usually some very strong dental floss, string or a very fine strong wire will get those off. Use a sawing motion to cut the 3M tape. Then you can remove the left over tape from the car easily.

okay, in the way of 'goo-gone', ive used WD40 to get excess glue crap off of stuff in the past. would that harm the paint at all, or should i just go buy some other stuff like 'goo-gone'?

Hair dryer worked for me, slowly peel down from the top of the letter while using a hair dryer. Do it slowly and hit it with the hair dryer on low and the adhesive should just melt and easy enough to peel. Afterwards just use some bug and tar to remove the excess adhesive. You should be alright.

okay, got it off with some floss, hair dryer, and an ass-load of elbow grease. then to get the crap the glue leaves behind i just used WD40 and a paper towel (couldnt find my goo-gone, i know i have it somewhere...) and it looks as if it was never there. yay!
thanks for the help guys. |
