BEFORE YOU MAKE A THREAD ABOUT A MEET -- READ!!!

I'm tired of seeing 10 new threads a week from people wanting to know where/when they could meet up with fellow 3g'ers tonight because they are bored.

If you want to start a legit meet of some kind for local Texas members (in other words, no ricer, lets go street race random people kinda meet), be my guest; but, make sure you plan properly for the meet. Most regular members on this site (the ones who would actually be attending the meet) are 20+ years of age, have a job of some sort to provide for family, and some younger members have school. The odds that everyone decides to abandon their daily routine for drinks at hooters tonight is slim. So with that being said, if you want to make plans for a meet, make them at least 1 week in advance.

Now if your not wanting to make a meet, but want to know if there is anything going on in your area, please.. do not make a whole new thread for that. It pisses us off, and makes Kabob actually have to work a little for his moderator title. The Texas forum has members all the way from Amarillo to Corpus Christi. Each area has a few threads floating around about meeting up on some date. With the help of everone's friend, called the search button, i am SURE you could find one of them and bump it up with your question, and if the area is interested enough, feel free to create plans for a meet.

Examples of properly planned meets (good)
DFW/Texas November Get-Together
Texas Mitsubishi Owner’s Meet September 20th *MOD*
Dallas Junkyard Run October 25th
State Fair of Texas - Sept. 27th

Examples of poorly planned or interest meets (bad)
LETS MEET TONIGHT
dang..
San Antonio
SA-TOWN MEMBERS

Thank you for the thread. If there's are no 3g meet threads in your area, then MOST LIKELY there's no 3g meet happening

Simple as that. If you find that offensive, then go plan the meet, a lot of people appreciate that

Umm I didnt see any responce in the thread. And your comments arnt even directed at the title of the thread. Plan a meet....you are just tired of alot of threads where people are just bored and looking for something to do at a specific time. Meets are planned not just random get togethers. Its a part of the internet....might as well just enjoy it

Umm, first off, most people that have agreed with me have sent pm's/rep'd me. I had about 3 in the first hour it was up. So i would say, i few people agree with me, along with the regulars on the site. Now second, how does my comments not agree with the title? Title states, "before you make a thread about a meet -- read!!!" In the thread i basicly break it down for simple minded people like yourself. BEFORE you make a thread about a meet, make sure it is LEGIT and PLANNED PROPERLY, so the meet can actually take place with a high chance of people showing up; and, if your just taking interest in any meet around you, simply bump an older thread in your region.

Do you understand now? Or do i need to break it down more for you. Its seems like your the only one who doesnt understand.

If you want to make a meet, plan it properly in good advance, details, and so on. If your just taking interest on a random day or night and want to get something started that quick, bump an old on?

I dont think kabob has the power to just go off and delete them. I might be wrong, i dunno. But it wouldnt stop new ones from rising up ever damn week, thats why i made this. Besides, kabob is useless
