Good place for paint job
Hey guys, I ran a search but couldn't find anything recent, and by recent I mean within the past 3 years.
I am looking for a good paint and body shop. I've got the whole faded factory paint job thing going on. My plan is to get a two tone paint job black up top gray metallic flake on bottom and I am looking for a body shop that does good work. Any recommendations? Thanks for the help! |

Well, there is a sticky for this at the top of the Texas forums... Places/People around Texas for your car
But what area you are in would be a nice piece of information as well.

Yeah, I didn't see anything recent on that one either.
The Dallas area is where I am, I know Jotech was around in Garland, but I thought they disbanded and I remember there being a place called motorwerks in dallas up by 635 and 35, but they focused mainly on German and upper end cars. Plus I think he sold out and tried to sign on with the Traxion car show crew back almost a decade ago. Maybe I'm wrong on all this. Dunno. |

Jotech is still around and kicking form my understanding. There is a place in Lewisville off 121 business. I think it's called auto sport? I dunno, i forget the name. The guy there does very good body and paint work.

K & W Paint and Body in Lewisville does amazing work. They did the paint and body work on my Dad's '65 Buick Riviera and it looks great. Depends on how good of a job you want done. All in all the paint on body work on my Dad's car came to about $10,000-12,000. If you're looking for cheap there's plenty of Maaco's around.

When my old Integra Type R took a wooden block to the front bumper, I took my car to Woodard Paint and Body on several friends' recommendations. They did extremely fast, excellent work in repairing and painting my front bumper and only charged me $210 at the time. They've been in business since 1920 before there was much else to look at in Dallas than grass and cows. Unfortunately, they are located on Ross Ave. right in the middle of the auto body and warehouse district that's up for urban renewal. Dallas City Council has decided to eminent domain them out of the area and maybe even out of business. They have until 2010 to clear out so if you want to get your car in now, I suggest you do it now.

If you are on the East side of Dallas... I just had mine done at a friend of mine's shop in Forney. He can do pretty much anything you want as far as custom work! If you want to give him a call, the place is called Buster's Paint and Body. Just call them @ 972-564-1020 and ask for Chuck (Jr. if they ask... His dad typically only goes by Charles) and tell him that Wes with the "Pain in the ass" Steel Blue Eclipse sent you! He called it the "Pain in the ass" because of the crappy body kit and hood that I bought, but he made it all look incredible regardless! He's also had a couple of his customer's mini-trucks get published in Mini Truckin' Magazine!
