1999 Convertible Eclipse GS 2.4L

1999 Convertible Eclipse GS 2.4L
166k miles
Automatic

New timing belt
New crank pulley
New crank position sensor
New crank shaft seal
New cam shaft seal
New oil pump
New oil pump seal
New water pump
New valve cover gasket
New NGK stark plugs
New Spark Plug Wires

Car runs/drives for about 5-10 minutes and than dies ..than after 5 minutes waiting... once you start again ...same thing ..it dies after about 5-10 minutes...and you have to repeat this over and again...

Where could be problem?

could it be transmission or something related to engine temperature ?

Well, if it has a missfire, you're not creating power correctly. You need to start by chasing down your missfire first. Is it random or a specific cylinder?

I had this symptom with a 1976 TR7 and the problem was the electronic ignition. Of course, being a British car, 3 new ignitions (Bosch I believe) were installed before the problem disappeared.

IMO it sounds like a fuel filter/strainer issue because you can drive for a little while then it plugs up and after sitting for a few the sediment falls back away from filter/strainer then can move fuel through it again until sediment plugs it back up.
had to drop the gas tank on my 7g galant to clean everything out lots of crap in the bottom of the tank, since then never another issue. the automatics are virtually bulletproof.
(strainer is attached to fuel pump in tank) fuel filter is located agianst firewall under hood. change both and should cure your problem
