Eclipse RS full gasket kit?

I called my local Mitsubishi dealer to ask for a full gasket kit for my 02 eclipse and they told me only a dealer in Georgia still sells the full kit and it was about $300. Really? only one dealer?

Has anyone tired an aftermarket gasket kit? How did it fit?

Rockauto.com has plenty of options. Remember, you get what you pay for.

I don't plan to cheap out on the gasket set so $90 doesn't seem too bad. Thanks

I did some more research and found a gasket kit made by ishino stone part number (W0133-1611464) on parts geek for $155 compared to $90 mahle kit on rockauto.

I researched ishino stone and mahle reviews and found that ishino stone makes OEM gaskets for Honda and Nissan. Couple of forums had people buying OEM gaskets from the dealer and ishino was on the labeling so they seem legit.

Compared to the mahle research I found out that mahle doesn't have little things like a tab to hold a gasket in place instead of using something to make it stick, and multiple forums talking about cheap quality.

Parts geek is currently out of stock on the ishino gasket kit but a quick search of the part number led me to find it for a similar price so ISHINO STONE it is!

Just thought I'd update this. As soon as I went to order this kit from another site, they gave me a refund without a reason why and it turns out it's discontinued!! Fml!

The alternative that worked for me was to get the bottom end gasket kit which is called a "conversion /lower gasket kit" from rock auto.

I'll be ordering gaskets and seals I need for the top end separate since they aren't that much but I'll be going OEM for the headgasket.

I went with the fel-pro and in the box came with multiple gaskets for different versions of the engine I guess? For instance it came with 3 different water pump gaskets, 3 different front case gaskets and 3 different oil filter housing gaskets and sure enough one for each was the correct one.

Just thought I'd let yall know since I wasn't sure what to do/get.
