3.8l swap with MegaSquirt ignition?

I am currently swaping to the 6g75, and am going to be running MegaSquirt for fuel and for ignition. My problem i have ran into is the crank position sensor, i believe i can use the cam position sensor and modify it but i dont think it would be as good as using the crank position sensor. Any ideas or thoughts i would really appreciate. Thank you
