Exclamation Ecuflash help replacing ecu

Hey guys and gals,
I have a 99 galant w a 4g64 that we put in eng and trans from an 02. This is the same platform shared with the 3g eclipse. I have a problem thay my ecu is no communicating properly with my trans. The new 2002 trans with my 1999 ecu. I was told to replace the ecu and it will solve the problem. I went to the dealership got all the trans solenoids to test properly and all checks out but car will continuously go into limp mode.

The question is the 2002 has an ecu that is editable and it comes from factory with the immobolizer. My 1999 doesnt so keys dont have chips. I have been told to just deactivate the immobolizer in the ecu and that it is simple. I have borrowed my friend ecuflash 2.0 and I have gotten my ecu in the mail. I need to know if someone on here has some knowledge with this software. I need to copy the 99 ecu to the 2002 ecu so it can be learned to the vin and start the car. Thanks ahead of time!

Don't the later auto transmissions have different sensors or something?

Everything is the same. Someone on a site said they are different speed sensors. They are the same on my old one and the one on the 02.

if you have the dictionaries of the ecu so it can read the ecu you can disable the immobilizer from there

also

if you use a evo rom and reflash the ecu you can disable the immobilizer, the rom starts with 9653xxxx, search in the evlolutionm forums,

be very carefull with this, a wrong re-flash can harm o break you motor
good luck.
