Talking 3/4 of a tank = 60 miles

I always found it interesting on how the X calculates the amount of fuel left in the tank, especially today when I took it to the track the first time and was on my second tank of gas for the day.

Why is this in the racing discussion anyways? I understand you were racing while looking at your fuel remaining but it has nothing to do with racing and on top of that it's an EVO X, not a 3G eclipse.

Ok, educate me... where should have this been posted? Are you saying I don't belong on here because I have an evo and not an eclipse?

Not at all, you belong on here just as much as anyone else. I just don't see what a car (whether it be Eclipse, Tahoe, Evo, Camaro, w/e) being able to predict how much fuel you have left has to do with General Racing Discussion.

The only reason I mentioned you owning an EVO is because I THINK, not 100% sure, that the racing discussion is supposed to be for 3G racing. As to where it should've been posted I'd say either The Lounge or the Other Cars but once again not 100% sure.

I really appreciate the explanation, I will definitely remember for next time. Much thanks for making me feel welcome! I just thought the 3g racing crowd could enjoy the evo making 5mpg on racing day.

Yes, nothing excites us more than knowing how many miles your car gets to the gallon while wide open. Perhaps next week we can see who can eat the biggest sandwich while staging.

how about who can eat the biggest sandwich while running down the track.

do you know how hard it is to eat a subway sandwich and drive a standard through rush hour traffic.

It depends on how tall you are. I am 6 3 and I can drive a manual and still steer with my knee(s). I usually use one knee and keep one leg on the clutch (when driving a manual)
