Once again we will have this huge event at the Rogers Middle School in Rogers, MN. We will have a lot of great prizes and some awesome food. This is one of the largest Mitsu events in the country. Last year we had over 150 Mitsus on display. You don't want to miss it!

Hey everyone,

We have 36 people signed up so far. The current list is at: All Mitsu Cookout sign-up list

Also, we have the official hotel lined up. We'll be using the Hampton Inn, in Rogers again. The rooms are $74 a night. That is over 25% off there regular price. This is a really nice hotel. More details on the Hampton Inn are on the Cookout page at: All Mitsubishi Cookout and Car Show

Thanks,
Curt

I just updated our sign up list. We are up to 49 so far. Keep the sign ups coming!

Also remember you can prepay if you have Paypal. Its $5 to register your car and it includes all you can eat. And its $5 for any additional guest that is going to eat. You can send your paypal to [email protected]

I've also got a flyer out there that you can print off and help spread the word about the Cookout. The flyer is at: http://www.mn3s.org/cookout-flyer.doc

Only about six more weeks until the All Mitsu Cookout!

later,
Curt

Hey everyone,

As of today, we only have 57 people signed up. The current list is at: All Mitsu Cookout sign-up list

Last year we had a huge rush of people who signed up last minute. It makes it difficult to figure out the show categories, and food, if I can't get a good guess at the number of people we are going to have. I need to make some of those decisions in the next couple of weeks. So please get signed up if you are coming.

Thanks,
Curt

Yikes, I'd really like to go again after having such a good time last year. Too bad its on the 28th though since I start classes the week before and I'm not bringing my car to school.. If I get my car fixed maybe I'll find a way

Hey everyone,

I've been busy getting supplies and food for the Cookout. Only a month away now!

For any "out-of-towners" looking for a hotel room, you should get your room booked at the Hampton Inn, in Rogers. Its a super nice hotel and they are giving us a great rate. The hotel is less than a mile from the Cookout. Also, for the out-of-towners, we'll be having a bonfire at my house after the All Mitsu Cookout, probably around 7pm. So you can really make it a full day of Mitsu fun.

I'd also like to thank our two main sponsors, Modern Automotive Performance and Brookdale Mitsubishi. Their support of this event is the reason it is only $5. So consider getting your Mitsu parts from one of these great businesses.

Thanks,
Curt

Hey everyone,

Looks like we have 77 people signed up now. The current list is at:
All Mitsu Cookout sign-up list

This year we've got something new and exciting. We are going to do online voting. Most people have smart-phones these days. You'll be able to go to a website and enter a code and all your car selections right there. I'm in the process of testing this new function. And don't worry, if you don't have a smart-phone, or have problems, someone at the registration desk can help you. This will really help speed up the vote tally process and should prevent us from running late as I scramble to enter in all the data.

I'll hopefully be finalizing the categories next week. So get registered and make sure all your friends get registered!

Thanks,
Curt

LOL. That might be a little far. I drive all over the place, but Washington to Minnesota would be pushing it for a one day event plus some extras.

Maybe you should just move here.

Hey everyone,

The Cookout is only 2.5 weeks away now. Looks like we are up to 89 sign ups.

I've finalized the categories for the show. New this year will be a category for the Evo Xs. We don't have any unused rows left in the parking lot, but there should be plenty of room in the row across from the other Evos, towards the end of that row. Here are the categories:

Best 90-94 DSM
Best 95-99 DSM
Best 00-05 Eclipse/Stratus coupe
Best 91-93 3/S
Best 94-99 3/S
Best Evo I to IX
Best Evo X
Best Galant
Best Other Mitsu
The "Gene Helms" Cleanest Car Overall

Also, our block of rooms at the Hampton Inn go away on August 16th. So any out-of-towners looking for a room, book it now! We will also have a bonfire at my house after the Cookout around 7pm. So any out-of-towners or other people that want to extend a day of Mitsu fun, can join in. I live about a mile away from where the Cookout is located at.

Thanks,
Curt

Hey everyone,

Only 10 more days until the Cookout. We are up to 102 signups: All Mitsu Cookout sign-up list

It is not too late to get signed up and come join us for an afternoon of Mitsu fun. The All Mitsu Cookout is coming up on Saturday, the 28th. We'll have some great prizes, tons of food, the Mitsu trivia contest, and the slow drags.

Here are some reminders:

1) Sign-up online. The page is at:
Subscribe to our Newsletters

2) If you have Paypal, send me your $5 registration to [email protected] (no credit cards please)

3) Fill out your car sign ahead of time. It saves a lot of time in the registration line. Download the sign at:
http://www.mn3s.org/car-sign.doc

And my example sign can be found here:
http://www.mn3s.org/car-sign-curt.doc

4) Bring some lawn chairs for hanging out and bring your appetite! We'll have plenty of food.

Also, if you are just coming to spectate, there is a separate spectator lot on the back side of the school. So don't turn at the stop light at the school. Go past that and take your next right and go behind the school. The lot behind the school is for spectators. The front lot is for participants.

We will also be doing the slow drags again. Itís going for about 50 feet as slow as possible, without stopping. We'll have a trophy for the winner. It is a lot of fun.

See ya soon,
Curt

Hey everyone,

We are in the final stretch now. The All Mitsu Cookout is this Saturday. Time to start getting your Mitsu all shined up and finish those last minute projects. Looks like we are up to 116 sign ups now. I'm still hoping we'll have close to 150 cars there. The All Mitsu Cookout is a very unique event, and there really isn't any other Mitsu event like it in the country.

As a reminder, for the car show portion of the event, we are going to do online voting this year. Just like in other years, when you register your car at the registration table, you'll get your voting slip. Each voting slip will have a unique code on it. Then you'll still go through and fill out your voting slip by picking car numbers in nine different categories and "cleanest car". After you've finalized your picks, you can whip out your web enabled phone and go to the website on your voting slip to enter your votes along with your code that is on the voting slip. If you have troubles or you just don't have a web phone, someone at the registration desk can enter your votes for you.

Thanks,
Curt

Yes. Very Nice.

Anyway out of the many reasons I like attending the show, one of them is that you are going to get 100% good compliments on your vehicle from good Mitsu enthusiasts. No room for old prejudice pricks here.

Hey everyone,

The All Mitsu Cookout is tomorrow from 11am to 4pm in Rogers! No more procrastinating. We have 125 cars signed up!

Don't forget to get you car sign made! If you forget, we'll have blank ones you can fill out at the show. And get those cars shined up. Bring a lawn chair or two and a little sunscreen. There is no rain in the forecast for the next two days, so no excuses.

If you aren't signed up, but are still thinking about coming, just come! We can handle walk ups just fine. We just have to pencil you in. When you first get to the school, you will enter the parking lot and you'll pay and get your wristbands. Then you'll go park in the appropriate row and finish your registration at the registration tent. There you'll get your car sign, car number, and voting slip. Then put your car sign on your car somewhere and then enjoy the show. We'll have tons of food, pop, water. We have NOS energy drinks handing out free stuff. We also have tons of prizes to give away from MAP, Brookdale Mitsubishi, Corporate Mitsubishi, and 3SX. Also, Peter Bodensteiner will be handing out discount fliers for his book, "WRX vs. EVO".

If you are coming to the Cookout without a Mitsu, you can bypass the first entrance to the Cookout and take the next right. Then drive around the school to the back. There is a parking lot back there for spectators. If you want to eat, spectators can go to the registration desk to get a wristband for $5.

See ya soon,
Curt

Great show. Thanks to Curt and his helpers for putting on another great show.

To my fellow 3G'ers........... WTF?!?!

I do understand if you had other plans in advance or maybe at the last minute, but if you were in the area and had nothing going how come you didnt stop by?

A total of four other 3G's showed up but they didnt stay for the whole show. We need to keep going and showing some 3G support otherwise Curt is going to throw us in the "other" class.

Just tying to keep the 3G spirit alive....

Have made more than I missed, planned this one (even got the car cleaned up, including the interior and with tan that's no easy task). Still have a couple old awards from these in my garage. But yesterday I had to help a friend move (who really needed a hand, divorce going on, etc.).

It was a blast. I had a great time seeing old faces and meeting new ones.

To add to Collin's post. There was a huge lack of 3G support this year. Neither of us are mentioning names, but there are a lot of MN C3G members who lurk and a couple said they would show up. I know a couple of former owners have moved on, but the single fact that there were more Galants than Eclipses was mind blowing.

Hopefully next year will be a better showing for the 3Gs.

Hey everyone,

I've got the results and pics up from the All Mitsu Cookout: All Mitsu Cookout 2010

We had 127 registered Mitsus and 145 total Mitsus on display. Thanks to our main sponsors Brookdale Mitsubishi and Modern Automotive Performance. Also thanks to all my hard working volunteers. They allowed me to actually walk around and look at cars this year.

later,
Curt

Looks like there was a great turnout again. I'm sorry I wasn't able to be there to help represent the 3g's. My car was already in storage as I'm off in school unfortunately. Next year I hope the timing works out better though!
