I have the trophy winners and my pictures up. Its at:
All Mitsu Cookout Pics
One other FYI. I validated the car counts again. We actually had 176 registered Mitsus and about 190 Mitsus overall.
Also, I have a new Facebook group created called Upper Midwest Mitsubishi Owners. Join it if you want future All Mitsu Cookout info or info on other Mitsu related events in the area: https://www.facebook.com/groups/372443909492689/

It really was awesome getting to hang with yall last weekend. Minnesota is beautiful and full of some good people. Definitely worth the billion gallons of E85
|08/28/2012 11:37 PM|
you're welcome up here anytime. We need more people to give Justin a hard time. I'm Suprised your welds lasted the trip home. Although he got plenty of practice on his exhaust :-P

I love that the 3Gs took home the most trophies.
|08/28/2012 09:21 AM|
Thank you all for making this year's All Mitsu Cookout a huge success! We crushed our old record of 160 registered cars. This year we had 190 fully registered cars, and a total of over 200 Mitsus on display. We also fed 410 people! It was phenomenal!!!
We had a great group of volunteers working behind the scenes to get all the food cooked and set up. The registration crew and the front gate crew did an awesome job. And I don't think my trailer has ever been unload and loaded up so fast. Thanks guys!!!
Our sponsors had some nice displays and donated some nice prices. Thanks Midwest Turbo Connection, White Bear Mitsubishi, and Modern Automotive Performance. Also thanks to Advance Auto Parts for donating a huge number of door prizes. We also had a few prizes donated from Corporate Mitsubishi, and Auto Zone.
Other than having kind of a long food line and us literally running out of food and making an emergency food run, everything else went very smooth. I don't have my page up yet with trophy winners and pictures. I hope to have that up in a day or two. In the meantime, here is a list of other people's pics I found. Some of these may not work depending on what the owner's Facebook security settings are at:

Congrats on the win! Nicely done.
And welcome to the club, I have one of those too From many years ago though, without any turbos to compete against. You'd have taken it if we'd been around at the same time.
|08/26/2012 10:35 PM|
|polishmafia||^ Well deserved! Car came together and is awesome!|
|08/26/2012 10:24 PM|
I feel almost empty. All that's left now is the 500whp dyno sheet which will be easy and then the only thing left to do with this car is run an 11 second quarter mile...
|08/26/2012 10:19 PM|
^ Nicely done!
Good seeing you guys today.
Matt - For what its worth, happy birthday! Good luck with the (shit). And thank you for giving me my old grill back. It was really crazy to have it back in my hands.
|08/26/2012 09:02 PM|
Bringing it home with a 3:06 in the drag!
|08/26/2012 08:43 PM|
I still have a big grin on my face from how awesome this show was. Not as big as Jamie's, but up there
Curt gave us a challenge, show up or be considered an "Other", and the 3G community came together for an awesome turn out. Got some great photos at the end there. Great job getting the slow drags and long distance trophy added to the list as well.
I hope to see the same and more next year. This keeps getting better and better!!!!!
|08/24/2012 08:53 AM|
It is an incredible list of sign ups. That parking lot is going to be full!
|08/22/2012 04:01 PM|
|Krazy_Town||I believe this is the largest 3G turnout for the cookout so far. Nearly 200 sign ups, man this place is going to be packed. Might have to move it over to the High School next year if the number keep going up Curt!!!!!!|
|08/22/2012 02:16 PM|
|Silvertune||The only hope is giving them a taste of boosted V6's.|
|08/22/2012 02:14 PM|
|MSP3G||I just want to outdo the 4gs. 2gs will always be a classic in the 90s tuner era so I agree with Justin, they are just in a higher demand.|
|08/22/2012 02:03 PM|
|Silvertune||I don't foresee that, the turbo will always make the 2g most common...|
|08/22/2012 01:35 PM|
But we will probably keep seeing our numbers increase. As the price of a 3g goes down, attendance will go up. We might someday have more 3gs than 2gs.
|08/22/2012 10:54 AM|
|Silvertune||All our spreading the word is paying off! I am SO excited.|
|08/22/2012 10:45 AM|
I can't believe there are 15 3G's signed up! (Stratus coupes included)
And to think just 2 years ago, Collin was the only 3G there besides the one that stayed for maybe an hour.
Just when it seemed the 4G's were coming together, we double their attendance
|08/22/2012 10:38 AM|
|MSP3G||Whooo!! Mitsubishi For The Win!!!|
|08/22/2012 10:26 AM|

Only four more days! The sign ups have surged to 190. The current list is at:
All Mitsu Cookout sign-up list
The parking lot at the school only has 230 parking spots, so we are going to need to be careful when parking. Don't take up two spots, and try to get yourself centered into your parking spot. If everyone does there part, we should be okay.
I never thought I'd see the day that we'd be in trouble with filling up the middle school parking lot. Its a great problem to have!
|08/20/2012 11:18 AM|
|Silvertune||Holy christ! I gotta get my arse in gear! Boost shall be raised...|
|08/20/2012 11:08 AM|
The All Mitsu Cookout is almost here. Its this Sunday from 11am to 4pm. We are up to 178 sign ups now. That is fantastic! We may get the school parking lot kind of full, so make a special effort to park in between the lines. We may need every spot in the lot.
Of course you can still sign up. The sign up page is at:
Subscribe to our Newsletters
We will have a lot of prizes to give away too. We'll be randomly giving prizes away as you register at the registration tent. A big thanks to our sponsors for bringing a lot of prizes. Make sure to visit their webpages:
Modern Automotive Performance: Modern Automotive Performance - Redefining fast.
Midwest Turbo Connection: Midwest Turbo Connection, Turbo Rebuilding, Upgrading, and Parts
White Bear Mitsubishi: White Bear Mitsubishi Suzuki | New Mitsubishi, Suzuki dealership in White Bear Lake, MN 55110
On top of the sponsor prizes, Advance Auto Parts and Corporate Mitsubishi donated prizes!
So between all the food, great prizes, great cars, the Mitsu trivia contest, and the slow drags, it will be a fun afternoon!
See ya soon,

|Meest00GT||It is possible to attend without registering before-hand, right? I only say this because I'm still waiting on a buddy to see if he can tag along. I do plan to attend. However, the 3g did not get fixed . Oh well, I suppose I can still add to the category!|
|08/16/2012 10:39 AM|
Oh and I don't have a turbo......yet.
|08/16/2012 08:52 AM|
Only 10 more days until the Cookout. We are up to 165 signups: All Mitsu Cookout sign-up list
It is not too late to get signed up and come join us for an afternoon of Mitsu fun. The All Mitsu Cookout is coming up on Sunday, the 26th. We'll have some great prizes, plenty of food, and some fun stuff like the Mitsu trivia contest, and the slow drags.
Here are some reminders:
1) Sign-up online. The page is at:
Subscribe to our Newsletters
2) Fill out your car sign ahead of time. It saves a lot of time in the registration line. Download the sign at:
And my example sign can be found here:
3) Bring some lawn chairs for hanging out and bring your appetite! We'll have plenty of food.
Also, if you are just coming to spectate, there is a separate spectator lot on the back side of the school. So don't turn at the stop light at the school. Go past that and take your next right and go behind the school. The lot behind the school is for spectators. The front lot is for participants. Here is a map of the school:
We will also be doing the slow drags again. It’s going for about 50 feet as slow as possible, without stopping. We'll have a trophy for the winner. It is a lot of fun.
See ya soon,

|08/12/2012 08:27 PM|
|icegod||I am registered and going! So add another 3g to the list, all though my car is a bit more tuner looking (your word might be rice burner lol).|
|08/09/2012 10:55 PM|
|polishmafia||How many Galants signed up Curt? Any way to roll them into a 3G/8G or 4G/9G category? (Excluding any 6 or 7Gs)|
|08/09/2012 12:28 PM|
I've finalized the classes for the car show. Here they are:
00-05 Eclipse/Stratus coupe
Evo I to IX
Evo X and 09+ Ralliarts
The "Gene Helms" Cleanest Car Overall
All classes will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies, except the cleanest car overall. That is just a 1st place.
We are also up to 144 cars signed up, but I haven't updated the webpage since Monday. Keep those sign ups coming!!

Less than three weeks away from the All Mitsu Cookout now. Time to start thinking about your car sign. To save time at the Cookout, you can download and fill out your car sign before the show. Just fill out everything except the car number. You'll get that at the show. Its hard to remember your mod list when you are sitting at the registration table. So do it early. Here is a link to a blank car sign:
Here is an example sign to look at:
We are up to 134 sign ups. Keep them coming!
|08/05/2012 11:30 PM|
|lyonstl||If I can fix mine in time I will be there.|
|08/03/2012 08:25 PM|
|M-Rod||And it's so clean too! I have a picture under the hood of that thing I must show you.|
|08/03/2012 09:50 AM|
|Silvertune||That's really weird, how I missed that I am unsure. I look forward to poking around this year though!|
|08/03/2012 09:16 AM|
We've also had 30+ 3/Ses at the Cookout for the last nine years. And yes, the 3G group also contains a couple of Stratus coupes.
|08/02/2012 01:39 PM|
|Silvertune||I seen a couple of 'em from time to time. None of them would give a 3g the time of day though if I did go to say hi, they are akin to the BMW crowd down there.|
|08/02/2012 01:37 PM|
4g's are all talk anyway. They don't even come out Fridays....
|08/02/2012 12:11 PM|
Wow, that's a serious 3/s turn out, there was like 4 of them last year. Wonder if any of them will have more then some ricer bling and a couple pussy bolt ons. /rant for now...
I'm surprised there is only 10 4g's, they were making a big deal about getting a more serious turn out. Curt the 3g group includes stratus coupes correct?
|08/02/2012 12:07 PM|
We are up to 125 cars signed up now. Wow! Here is the breakdown of those who have signed up:
And about 15 other cars. Looking good!
|07/30/2012 02:11 PM|
|07/30/2012 01:33 PM|
|3gEclipse86||I'm just waiting on my buddy. If his work schedule is free that weekend I'll be taking a trip to Minnesota.|
|07/30/2012 01:23 PM|
|Silvertune||Attendance is required.|
