door striker nut plate fell into door frame

I was trying to reverse the door striker to tighten up the doors on my 2001 Spyder gs. When I removed the bolts the nut plate fell down into the door frame. It there any way to access it from the rear interior panel or am i going to have to cut a hole to retrieve it and refasten it?
