Hello, this is my first time posting here and I'm not exactly mechanically inclined so please bare with me.

I have an 01 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT-automatic transmission and I am experiencing some really terrible issues.

Alright so I've had the car for a good few months and haven't had any issues until somewhat recent.

When it rains/snows and streets are covered, after just a few minutes the TCL and ANTI-LOCK light comes on and then the RPMs drop bad and the car damn near stalls out but luckily sometimes I do manage to keep it from doing so. Though if it does then I have to jump it to get it started again.

*NOTE* When it is acting weird like this, the TLC and ANTI-LOCK lights come on when braking and go away when I start to accelerate. Only when I engage the breaks and them lights do come on that the RPMs plummet and the car stalls.

I NEVER have this issue when it is completely dry out. I'm assuming it might have something to do with the alternator or a bad wire/getting wet or something with the belts.

Haven't really had the money to try and replace the alternator though I am getting it tested tomorrow if I can.

I appreciate any help! Very important for me to fix, have to be ready when my wife goes in labor! Thanks!!

Easy way to test alternator is to start the car and then unplug the negative pole of your battery. If the engine stop your alternator may be defective so you might check the fuse first, if not alternator's good.
And about your lights coming on, there's a procedure in the driver's manual that explain how to diagnostic your abs and tlc system by giving you a code that tells you what part may be defective and need to be check.

I'll update this thread on what happens. It'll be a little while though.
