2000 Eclipse acceleration problem

I have a completely stock 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT with the 3.0L v6. Recently I bought the car from someone who said it just died on the highway and wouldn't start. After getting it home I looked it over tested the fuel pump and it was fine. Later I found a severed wire going to the crank position sensor. After getting it reconnected it started just fine replaced the distributor cap and rotor too. New I'm noticing it has very slow horrible acceleration. It runs a little rough at idol and doesn't sound bad during acceleration. What could the problem be?
