is there a recommended rear sway bar and end links to replace the factory one or am I better off just replacing the bushings? All of my bushings are shot and since I’m taking it all apart anyway, I was just wondering if it’s worth it to upgrade- thanks for your help in advance

When I retired my Spyder GT from service as a commuter car the suspension was in need of some help. While doing the upgrade I changed out the rear sway bar to a thicker, stiffer one. The improvement in handling was greatly improved. I left the stock links though [they were still OK]. The new sway bar came with new bushings and brackets due to it's much thicker diameter. ...J.D.

If all you're doing is replacing worn out bushings, you can get new links here ....

my question is, is it worth upgrading to a new sway bar and end links even if it’s just my daily driver. I am wondering if I would notice a difference, or should I just replace the end links and mounts with urethane.? I don’t want to spend $200 on a new rear sway bar if it’s not going to make much of a difference, I’m not racing the car I’m just driving it as a daily driver, I have it all torn apart that is why I’d like to know if it is worth my effort.

When you are replacing your end links, spend the couple extra dollars and get the MEVOTECH or MOOG brand ones. There is a hex on the inside that will accept a wrench when tightening or removing. Much easier to get on and off. They also come with a nipple to be able to grease them later on.

I'm using that same "ST" bar. You tailor your own setup to suit your driving style. I found with myself, stiffening the REAR roll stiffness keeps the inside FRONT tire in better contact on some of the tight switchback turns. I use this car to rip up to my mountain cabin.... 17 miles by air/41 miles by road. ...J.D.
