So I have a 2003 eclipse gs and occasionally when I floor it I’ll lose all power for a second (car doesn’t turn off or anything it just acts like I’m not pressing the gas) and I’m just trying to figure out what that could be? My guess is injectors or fuel pump, any other ideas?

If you step on the gas and there's a delay in the engine rpm responding, that's called hesitation. Mitsubishi says the most common causes are:

• Malfunction of the ignition system.
• Malfunction of air/fuel ratio control system.
• Malfunction of the fuel supply system.
• Malfunction of the EGR solenoid system.
• Poor compression pressure.

Do you have any other symptoms, like a check engine light? Do you have an OBD reader and do you know how to check your long term fuel trims?

The problem is many sensors and components are part of the ignition system and AFR control system. I'd explore those before replacing the fuel pump. Go to the free factory service manual at tearstone.com, section 13B and 13A for troubleshooting steps for many of the ignition systems parts and the AFR sensors. Some you're supposed to periodically replace anyways, like spark plugs and wires. If you're due, I'd start with that.
