A/C Compressor interchange

Hello, I have a 2003 GTS with an AC compressor that's noisy as hell. I was wanting to hit up the junk yard, but 2003 gts eclipses at junkyards are kinda rare here. Can anyone tell me what all eclipse models/years and maybe other cars like sebrings that have the same A/C compressor?

Welcome to the site... If you go to Rockauto.com, you can cross-reference the AC compressor from the different models and makes… I had a quick look and I think they are all the same from 2000 to 2005...

Good idea, I've done this in that past, I don't know why I didn't think of it this time. It seems like you're right, same compressor from 00-05 + stratus/sebring 01-05. I guess the only variation is 3 wire vs 4 wire.

p.s. I'm new, but I've been lurking the forums for years :p Just no search results for this.
While the most obvious downside will be no AC for days when its warm, the less commonly known downside to not having AC is that the defrost doesn't work very well. Defrost is not just "warm air pointed at the glass". It uses the AC system to de-humidify the air so the air that hits the glass can absorb the moisture on the glass. You can defrost a car with cold air if the AC system is doing its job...
Go to your local pet store and get a cheap bag of charcoal and sit it on the dash... That also will absorb moisture...

Hanging a tampon from the mirror works just as well, or so I've heard.
