Aftermarket radio wont come on after amp install!

Hello, I recently put in an aftermarket headunit in my 2001 eclipse GT. My GT was equipped with the infinity system so i bought the metra harness, hooked it up and everything was fine. Then i go to install my subs and amp, get everything together, wires hid, then i disconnect the battery to connect the amp power wire. after this my amp turns on, but cars starts and it wouldnt idle. as well the power button is lit up but it wont turn on. i realize that they have a radio lock code but it shouldnt affect the aftermarket radio?? She is running a little better now so i think the idle might be relearned but the radio still wont come on. any ideas?

Could be a bad battery or alternator. This would mean your car is not getting enough power distribution. If your sure everything is connected right and grounded properly have your charging system and battery tested.
what system are you running? Headunit, speakers, subs, and amp.
Did you by chance use the same wire for your constant as your turn on wire for your amp? I had a problem and had to wire a second wire for the amp to a 12v source ie: the cigaret lighter.
I have a power acoustiks 7in touchscreen, with an 1100 crunch amp and two JL 12w3's. but it turns out the hu needed to be reset for whatever reason so it fired up after i unplugged it and plugged it back in. but yes im getting the battery tested today so ill keep updated. and would the idle problem be that the cars idle memory was wiped when the battery was unplugged?
oh and no i didnt wire them together. I have the remote wire from the amp going to the ignition fuse, since i had to use the one on the harness for the factory infinity amp. and partially because i got lazy and didnt want to get in the back of the radio again.:blush2:
