Andy's auto is a scamming shit heap. Good luck buying from them.

Maintenance needs to happen first. No sense putting an intake on a car that's lost 10 horsepower because the plugs are older than your driver's license.

Just need to do the wires and plugs. Just got new calipers, rotors, and pads. First shop broke every single part on the front when they put them on. It cost me $540 to fix their screw up. The only thing that has actually gone right since I got the car was the exhaust.

If it was the shops fault its THEIR responsibility NOT YOURS! Its your fault for not doing anything and fixing their mistake

Well my brake pads fell off exactly halfway to where I was heading so I was an hour away from either of the places I stay and it was getting late so I called a tow truck company and they brought it to a place that said they would fix it that night. (It was 10:30 p.m. and their power went out so they had to use generators..) Against my better judgement I let them work on it. I did not get any form of receipt but I still plan on bringing them to small claims court because I have 3 witnesses that were with me when I left the car and when I picked it up. That is the last time I leave my car with a group of hillbillies that don't have a full set of teeth between them.

I dont think small claimd court will do anything even if you have witnesses...it was YOUR FAULT for not getting any type of receipt (you should've known better)..this is going to be a "he said, shop said" type of deal which if there is nothing written they won't do anything IMO! Hopefully you leanered from this and won't do it again

I think you misunderstood by cap he means distributor cap and and rotor is the button under the cap. I was sitting here thinking how did he go from tune up to brakes:scratch:
:agreed:

Distributor cap and distributor rotor. If your wires are a consideration than the cap and rotor are probably gone as well. Service life is 100-120k if you really want to get every last mile out of it. You lose plenty of efficiency and power before you actually see misfire so it's worth replacing.

Yeah I kind of figured he meant something else and I would look stupid but oh well. My knowledge of cars isn't the most extensive. I learned a lot when I lived with my father who is a professional mechanic but i'm still trying to learn more as I go. But can someone just give me their opinion on what would be better out of the two mods I was originally asking about? A tune up isn't an issue as I have another experienced mechanic that will assist me whenever needed. Which will be the next time I put on an aftermarket part.
