:mecry2: i just bled the cooling system but i really dont think it helped.

i was driving home and at a stop light i noticed the temp gauge slowly started going up. it went from normal to about 3/4 then normal then 3/4 again and it went back to normal when i started driving. ive noticed my coolant is also brown but i havent flushed the radiator or anything either. i'm afraid its my head gasket, any opinions before i take it into the shop?

Take the cap off of the radiator and start the car, if it starts bubbling inside then there's your sign

THat's a good way to get a coolant shower.

Try this; start the car with the engine cold and the cap on, THEN immediately take off the rad cap and watch for the bubbles.
