I have got a 2003 Eclipse GS Spyder with the 5 Speed Manual, and just replaced all bearings in the trans, i go to put the damn thing back together and i cannot get the output shaft bearing to press into the case and let the snap ring grab it. Any ideas on what is going on, and how i should go about fixing this?

Are you sure the snap ring is open and allowing the bearing to slide by? The snap ring fits in that little channel and you may have to wiggle it around a little while you have snap ring pliers holding it open. A few light taps with a rubber mallet might help to vibrate it on too. Don't beat it on, you'll end up damaging something.

The shift fork rods might not be getting into the other side of the case, and that might be your hold up.
