So guys I finally started working with carbon fiber. Last year i made that front lip out of fiberglass that some people liked and some didn't like, well maybe you guys will like this. This is just the start of what i intend to do with the interior. Now i'm just waiting for the weather to get warm again to finish up the interior. Here's some pictures, and let me know if anybody is interested in a how to.

looks really good. You should post up a how to, i've been thinking about doing something like this. good work!
wow that looks really good. u did this by yourself?? it looks seriously professionally done.
Something just isn't appealing about that ash tray...

Rest is fine, I don't know what's bugging me about the tray...
I'd like to see some Hi-Res images that are less blurry. Interested to see how smooth the finish is, around the edges, and also on the backside of the piece.
no offense, i noticed you said you just started. but it needs alittle work. Working with carbon fiber is a bit of a pain. Was your fiber impregnated?
the back of the pieces are are just the plastic pieces, i just put resin ontop of the old plastic parts and then layed the carbon fiber material ontop of it, then i did two layers of resin ontop which is what gives it the shine. I still need to do some wet sanding, i just bought some 1500 and 2000 grit sand paper because it is a bit lumpy in some spots. As for the ashtray its probably the worst of them all. The pillars came out pretty good because they were so flat, I'm going to try and use the vacum method next time to get it to conform better.
Looks good, a how to and more pictures would be cool.

Well I knew it was an overlay, which is why I want to see how you finished off on the wrap. That's pretty important.

I would also suggest going as high as 3,000 grit as the very last step in wetsanding, then buffing with a firm foam pad and a medium rubbing compound and moving to a soft foam pad and polish.

Overall, I think you did a fantastic job on the pillars. Give the fuse box cover a shot (especially if you do it with a 00-02 cover)., that's a damn difficult piece and a GREAT learning experience. :)
Looks good man, I am looking forward to seeing how some more projects
+1 :bigthumb:
good job man I would be interested in a how to as well.
Good effort. With a little practice and patients it will look great!
Looks good.
just wondering what it would cost to carbon fiber wrap a bumper? idk how much the material is
