Changing sides

Hey guys, I have been reading these forums for a while now, but this is my first time posting. I have had my 2002 Eclipse RS for about a year now and I'm tired of having almost no support from companies to tune it. I still love eclipses and I have always wanted a 2g but at the time I got my car I couldn't get one. I have been deployed for about 5 months now and I have had plenty of time to decide how to fix this problem.

I have started a search for a 98'-99' GSX (my dream car). I want to find one thats pretty close to stock so it can be MY project. I know A LOT about 3g eclipses and if I helped a friend buy one I know exactly what to look for to make sure it care isn't a lemon. My problem, is that I don't as much about the 2Gs. I haven't played around under the hood like I have with my car so I don't know what problems to look for when trying to buy one. If you guys could please help and tell me whatever you know about what to look for in a 2g it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot guys!
