Compass/Temp Sensor Install

Has anyone who didn't have a temp sensor/compass setup try installing it? If so, what is involved? I would think that you could just buy the sensors (overpriced from the dealer :ugh:) and then it would be kind of a plug and play thing since it was just an option that wasn't installed. Is there anything else to adding this option? I don't really care so much about the compass, but I would love to have the thermometer and have it look stock.

I did search....just not enough I guess. I searched again and found a few previous posts. The manual didn't seem to start talking about the compass/temp sensors and clock pod until 54A-238 just in case anyone else is looking for it. It doesn't say if I need a new clockpod or not in there but another thread mentioned that I would.

So it's looking like sensors (with compass ECU), wiring, and a new clock pod. I'm thinking it's more of a pain than it's worth, but thanks for the help.

Just thought I'd provide to info I found to make it easier for anyone else who stumbles across this.
