Yeah its not good, ill give you some leniency because its a sporty, but you should do better than a 16.5... how are you launching? That is probably your biggest issue. Also you probably want to get rid of any extra weight in your car such as: spare tire, jack, dont make a pass on a full tank of gas, dont have other people in the car, etc.

Hey 3Gfly, are you EVER gonna post up time slips to back up your claims???
i brake stall usually at about 2000 RPM and shift with the sporty side of the tranny at about 6000 rpm. i personally think theres somethin internally wrong with my motor, prolly needs a rebuild.
What makes you think there is something "internally wrong" with your engine?

I mean, ur car is an 01, so it wont be as powerful as it was 6 or 7 years ago when it was newer, but idk if you should be seeing that much of a power loss.

What about weight reduction like I mentioned before?
i have been running empty spare tire, subs, everything out
well try running in reg. drive the auto's usually shift at great points for racing.
stop running race gas in an engine that isnt designed for it. as an engine builder i could go into the tons of proof as to why that is killing you performance, but i dont feal like typing it all. in short, higher octane in a basically stock 3g will net u less horse power then run 91 octaine.
(on a dyno you would show slightly more horse with 87 octain over 93, no i did not type thouse backwards) but it would burn a bit dirtier and hav less MPG.
Look up how octane works. Seriously, why are you using 110?

I don't know how this add up, but I figured I might as well post.

Back in March, I took my 03' GS down the track, not using the sport mode and did a 17.1 running only an Ebay cold air, 87 octane, and a set of Fusion HRi's.

Also, don;t run race gas unless you're going forced induction. If the engine is designed to run on regular US fuel, then 93 will be all if can handle. The only thing the high octane will do is give a more complete detonation, anything over "pump" gas is a waste of money on a naturally aspirated, fuel injected vehicle.
whats a stock gt run in the 1/8th? i going tonight for my FIRST pass. any quik tips?
i ran a 15.5 1/4 mile and i suck at shifting, maybe you have the same prob? unless its auto
if you want the best results take out everything. your back seats, spare tire, quarter panel plastics(inside), door panels passanger seats and if you want to go a little further you can take out your center console, speakers. You can unbolt and unsnap most of it in an hour and put it back in in ahour and a half and you will see the gain from it
I have an 01 GT with sri and exhaust, manual trans. I ran a 10.108 at 73.295 in the 1/8 but I snapped my rear trans mount in half.
..
NEUTRAL DROP THE BITCH!
put it in neutral, hit full throttle and bang first gear! my camaro would feel like you got hit by a car it would leave so fast.
just kidding about you doing it, your car can not handle it!

the trans are pretty strong though lol, what type of rubber you runnin? whats your reaction time? for 110 gas im supprised your not breaking anything... i use 91 with that liquid nos oct. booster shit that you get at autozone and i ran a 15.1 in a 1/4th i havent ran an 1/8th yet but ive got a manual 01 with a stage 2 and a few extras but basically the same you got... are you running stock suppension? that makes a differance too... just givin some input
What is your altitude?
And what conditions was it outside? Was it dry and clear or wet and muggy? That, in most cases, will cause a car to run less than predicted.
