ECU swap = no start

ECU swap = no start(fixed) now for ses codes.

i know someone had this problem not to long ago but i cant find it.

i switched my 2000 ecu for an 04/05 evo ecu, i fixed the maps, so they will work on my NA setup. But when i go to start "no spark"


im thnking its imobolizer?

PATA Pum Pish (those where drums!). Flash the EVO8 Rom posted in this site and that will resolve your issue (knock on wood) if everything else is good.

hey man, thanks again. but there are some problems. im not sure if this is due to you or what, but my RPMs are messed up. when i tap the gas, or just press the peddle, the RPMs drop to 0 then pick up.


and im wondering if what you did would have any effect on my MPH RPM gauges.

It's because of your ignition failure sensor, get rid of it.

isnt the 2000 ecu fed spec? I thought we couldnt PNP swap another ecu into a fed spec car without some other modification?
From what I'm reading so far to do it in a 00 you need the ecu, an immobilizer (if you don't use the delete) and to have the keys synced.
