Hey everyone,

So I'm in the process of trying to adjust my injectors. And for all other tuning. I can pull the Rom fine from the ECU. But i can't for the life of me open it for editing. I downloaded tons of definitions. Tried different versions of the programs. I just keep getting definition not found.

2003 GS 2.4 M/T. I didnt pull the ECU out to look at the processor, but from part number on it I gathered it was 02-03 2.4 M/T

Any other ideas I can try?

I couldn't ever get mine without having flashblue from the OP define it. I ended up flashing an EVO rom, an just setting the parameters from there. Any tuner can tune it from there. But you won't be able to just flash and go. You'll have to have it tuned, professionally would be preferable. Unless you have LOT's of experience tuning, or feel like taking a risk to learn to do it yourself.

I know this is late. But i got rid of the last car (kept motor and trans) and bought a new one last minute. 10x better condition. And the files you uploaded were a life saver!

Happy to have helped. Was lucky enough to find it snugged away beneath all of my "modded" xml files. Never hurts reflecting off of the originals.

Thread resurrection.

From the XML file you can work out what the stock injector size is? As in how much it'll flow.
It's just a case of finding the correct data.
I don't know how to do it.

Reason being that I've been flow testing various injectors from different versions of V6.
They all flow less than the generally accepted numbers.
As an example the yellow injectors from the SOHC 6G74, they're marked as CDH275, you'd expect them to flow 275 cc/min at 3 bar.
They actually flow 250 ish cc at 3 bar and about 270 cc/min at 3.5 bar. That's OK because the engine uses a 3.5 bar FPR. I found a link that referenced over here that said that the definition file has the size at 268cc/min.
The same goes for the Diamante 30M. The injectors are blue but still marked CDH275. It's a different manufacturer from the yellow injectors but they flow about the same and also use 3.5 bar base pressure.
The BDH210 injectors in the 6G72 DOHC 3KGT, they flow 170 at 3 bar, they'll do about 210 but the pressure has to go up to 4 bar to do it.

What about the injectors from a 3.8? a pinky red sort of colour with 305 written on them.
What are THEY supposed to flow?
From the XML file?
From flow tests?
I'm about to flow test a set.

Now lets look at the injectors from the 3KGT VR4 which are marked as BDL360.
They don't flow 360 cc/min at 3 bar....not even close. between 300 and 310 cc/min is the figure at 3 bar.
That's a major worry because every reference on the internet says they flow 360 cc/min. They NEVER have done and they NEVER WILL.

They'll flow 360 at 4 bar but the car runs at 3 bar base pressure.
I can find an XML file for a VR4 but how do you work out the injector flow rate from it?

Hope that makes sense?
