So ended going for the 2007 Endeavor front brake swap on my 2003 GT Manual. Gotta say it made a massive difference! Going from single piston calipers to dual calipers. Here I'm going to show you the before and after with parts list and link. All in all total cost around 240$
First the before and after pics.
Before:
After:
The Caliper, Bracket, Rotors I used:
(I used a 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor as a reference car)
Callahan CCK03982 [2] FRONT Premium Original Calipers + [2] Drilled/Slotted Rotors + Ceramic Pads + Hardware Brake Kit Amazon.com
(Also I think these are out of stock now but it's a good basis to go off of)
Now I tried the pads that came with it and they sucked.
Ended buying these:
[Front] Max Brakes Carbon Metallic Pads TA029651 Amazon.com
Turns out they're rebranded pads but work flawlessly. No horrific smells, no brake fade, consistent grip.
Now for the install it's the same as installing any other brakes. They bolt right up to the factory mounts. Just make sure you bleed it all the way through and have some spare brake fluid lying around to bleed it.
Only thing I did different was remove the rear dust shield.
I've been driving on these for about 2 months now and there's been absolutely no issues.
I also Drive decently aggressively and take my Eclipse out on mountain roads on the weekend and really punish the brakes. So far they love it and want more.
P.S. this is my first long post on this site so take it easy on me. I think I posted in the right section.
