Hey y'all new member.

My engine in my 2000 eclipse just went on me. 4 cylinder non turbo nothing fancy except headers and air filter under the hood. A friend of mine suggested doing a swap with a 4g 6.3 96 eclipse engine. I know I'll have to do a new tranny and computer. But is there another engine that will fit in there easier but still put out noticeably more power then my blown engine?

Budget can be adjust. Was going to use the pick and pull to its fullest. I have a 2014 dodge avenger as a second car.

Plenty of downtime after work. Willing to put in the labor. Its a 2.0 turbo mitsubishi engine

Stick with the 2.4. It's a strong motor. Boost it with evo parts, and if you're really up for it, evo 8 DOHC head.

Lol i think he meant 4g63. But yea stay with the 64. Less work and still has plenty of potential.

How would the motor mounts on the 4g63 work? I feel like their would be some custom brackets... Also, op I hope you have a manual trans. I hate my automatic... Too bad the parents won't let me get another car.
