So, a little while ago I got a 2001 Spyder GT 6Cyl and it just wont start.

To start off with it has been sitting for about a year or more. when I go to start it seems like its trying to turn over a bit fast. the motor has been rebuilt by the previous owner do to the timing belt snapping.

-Checked spark, good.

-Getting fuel.

-has oil.

-timing is right on.

-distributor seems fine as well

-No codes.

This is an absolute mystery to me

Check the seatment of the flywheel and clutch? I know after my brother crashed mine, it'd turnover (sounded fast) and wouldn't start. Had to do with a ring of some sort being broken in the flywheel/clutch from the impact.

I'm not the expert here, but just thinking out loud.

My car sat for over 5 years and fired right up with new oil and gas, so don't think it's an age thing unless you had mice in the engine bay...

What'd you use to check spark? A very common issue with these when they sit is the coil in the distributor goes bad. Even if you got spark in a test it may be too weak to ignite the cylinders.
