Evo ECU swap Problem

Alright I'm sure everyone is familiar with my car and the head swap,
I have an ECU from an 05 Evo when I plug it in my car wont start, but when I plug my original one back in it fires up. Am I missing something here, I thought the evo ecu would work without modifications.

The Numbers on the Evo ECU are 1860A118 and E6T34893

Or would the best thing to do is Flash the Evo Rom to my 03 GS ECU?

did you get the immobilizer deleted from the rom off of the evo ecu?
you have to delete the imobilizer from the ECU...they are not vin secific so it will work. Check flashblues post on the EVO rom flash and flash that onto the EVO ecu because the imobilizer is already deleted.

I think the evo ecu has a higer % load capacity, so it will run a lil more efficiently.
I'm actually having the same problem, however, I flashed my modified ROM (immobilizer deleted by Flash, edited for Turbo) from my 3g Ecu onto the EVO Ecu (same ecu that Bluebomber has) after I backed up the EVO's ROM, and my car won't start. I just hear a click and then everything turns black on the cluster.

I looked at my edited ROM by Flash and the Immobilizer code says FFFF so I'm pretty sure thats disabled. What else am I missing?

Also, does it matter that I have an alarm?
hey since im gonna be joining your group of evo ecu swaps(http://www.club3g.com/forum/showthread.php?t=108770)

wouldnt an evo 9 ecu not work since its mivec and has 3 maps it runs on??
well i'm an idiot.. i got it working. Flashed my modified 3g ROM to the EVO Ecu and it started up. Now all I gotta do is figure out what resistors to use to get rid of the CELs.

And no i don't think the Evo 9's will work because of Mivec.
