hey whats up everyone,
Quick Question, I know that it's been said that the 2G GS-t Exhaust Fits on the 3G so with that statement in Mind Can the Greddy Evo 2 For a GS-t Fit on th 3G (maybe just Modify the hangers), i need some real input on this because the greddy evo2 for the gs-t is full 3 inch and Full Stainless steel at a good price and fairly Quiet as well, seems good for turbo applications
thanks for you input guys/gals
Can an admin move this to the gs/rs or 3s specific performance section thanks
Tearstone had something else. I actually have the true Evo2 from the 2nd gen GST.
When I compared what I got against what Russ had, it was very different. I believe Russ's was from an AWD 2nd gen. When he had his installed he told me he had to have the muffler cut off and welded back on at a different angle, whereas I didnt have to do that. Plus, his had one more flange seperation near the muffler that mine didnt. His was an Evo1 though, so maybe they changed the design some when they made the Evo2.
Nontheless, yes the 2G GST Evo2 will fit. The length of it is longer, so your downpipe wil have to be shortened. The flange meeting up to the stock cat is different as well, so the exhaust shop will have to source you one that matches. One hanger has to be relocated to the opposite side, and if you want the muffler to fit the rear bumper perfect, one of the hangers on the muffler has to be bent some. The exhaust shop that installs it can do that while it is on the car.
Overall its pretty easy to make fit, and it looks awesome from behind.
well i did it the same time i installed my turbo kit so i also installed a hf cat. I had to cut my midpipe to install the HF cat on it and by installing that everything else lined up with the exhaust
