Flitz or Mothers powerball?

Anyone use either? Used both and like one better? I have chrome wheels that I want to use it on to help get them free of brake dust.

Maybe you like something better than either, let me know what you use that is safe for chrome and won't take an hour to polish the wheels.

I always use Mothers powerball on my wheels. Put some wax on there, buff the wheels for about 5 minutes a piece, and you've got one helluva shiny wheel. :yesway:

+1 for powerball. I even use it on the car with 3M scratch remover.

Bump for a few more opinions. Not that I don't appreciate both of yours... + repped.
i've heard good things about teflon wax keeping brake dust from sticking...and i've also heard that clorox bathroom cleaner cleans the shit off wheels very well too.

I'm pretty sure this contains bleach, it's safe? I'd imagine they might want you to clean it off with hot water to kill the bleach afterwards. Interesting to hear!
Ive always been satisified with my mothers powerball. Yet to use the other tho.
Meguiar's has a chrome polish that works very well.
I don't like that ball thing. I get better results polishing by hand with a microfiber cloth. Just my :twocent:.

Kill the bleach? Wasn't aware bleach was a living organism.

 ...I would be afraid it would mess up the clear coat on the wheels.

A way to explain it
If you put bleach on something and touch that with clothing, it'll leave spots.
If you clean it off with Hot water and touch it, your fine!
I have the Powerball for metal/plastic, and the one for paint
i love them, and dont know what i'd do without them
Well, it turns out the neither will fit into the corners of my wheels. I need one that is shaped like a cone, not a ball...

:agreed:

However, if you DO use a powerball on anything in the future, the ball itself isn't nearly as important as the device you attach it to, variable speed, and technique.

so buy a ball and cut some of it :dunno:

The way it fits into the drill prevents you from doing that. I thought of that and studied my neighbors powerball.

well this doesnt attach to a drill, but it fits between spokes and hard to reach areas. You could polish the wheels with the powerball and then use this for the smaller areas :dunno:
