is there a light in it? I don't know, i never really noticed
yeah it goes on when you press the button in, i want to replace it w/ red led if possible
Dave knows. (Dr. 9023G) I remember he replaced the one on his 3g (when he had one) with blue.
I've taken mine out, but not apart. Now I'm curious.....
I attempted to take it out once but quit because I was afraid I was going to break something. I couldnt figure out how to get the back piece to snap off.
i got all the pieces snapped off but dont know how to get to the light

Has anybody got to this? I wanna know so I can switch mine from orange to red.
I would go to a junkyard and try to find another switch... That way you can tear it apart, and it don't matter if you break it because you have the original

Understood, but as far as the soldering goes, do you know how to do it or like a guide or a video on how to do it somewhere on the internet?.

soldering is not rocket science. Go to Harbor Freight for a cheap soldering iron and solder and practice on something else before trying anything more intricate or very small. The solder wire thickness (gauge) determines how much solder melts, so use smaller gauge solder wire for intricate work to keep it clean. Should be plenty of videos on internet such as YouTube for beginners, search term "basic soldering"
