So I've had my 00 GT for about a mth now so i figured it was time to make a few upgrades so I first got an HID kit and then decided i should prob change the fogs too. lmao so i bought some yellow fog light bulbs and go to install them..couldnt even fucking get the screws out with a drill! The screws are rusted in there and i stripped the shit outta them trying to get them out. I don' know how in the hell im gonna get them out without breaking the plastic holding it in. I'm so pissed :madfawk: has anyone else ever had this prob??

they sell screw removal kits at hardware stores. they basically drill into the screw and then pull them out. give it a try.

Have you ever heard of Wd-40.

PB Blaster has always worked better for me.

haha no shit seeing i work at home depot ill try the removal kit but idk that fucking plastic seems like itll break real easy if i keep messing with it
yea it's pretty thin. just be careful not to put too much sideway force on them. i broke the bottom left on my driver side because i couldn't reach the post. was being lazy and trying to reach it without lifting the car or removing the headlight. eh.
The screw striped out right i had the same prob i just driled it out and got some bolts from home depot that were the same thread :)

Yeah I would just try and drill it out first, I mean if they are really rusted then drilling through them should be a breeze.
same problem on mine:

I had to drill all the way though the bolts. and i was slightly off so it ruined the threading.

purchased to bolts with 2 nuts at homedepot and put them in with the fogs,

works great now, and i have two new unrusted bolts in there. :metal:
