I tried spray painting my front vents black with spray paint but they look dull. I also tried a spray paint and the bottle said "with gloss finish" and it still looks dull. Any suggestions?

I want to fill the dimples in mine, shoot them black, and bury them in clear so they look like lenses. That's what I'd do...

If you're going for the OEM look, they shouldn't be glossy. THe paint to use is a satin black to have a slight sheen on them, and nothing more. Otherwise, what XwP1ayawX said is the best alternate and pretty much the only other thing you can do with them.

Whatever you choose, just make sure they coincide with your turn signals and don't look out of place.

Like said before, using a clear coat overtop them will make them look glossy.
