For Sale: 6G72 Longblock. This is out of a Eclipse GT. My buddy got it back in 2003 and it has been sitting in my garage since then. He gave it to me a couple months ago and now I want to get rid of it. To the best of my knowledge he got it from a dealership. He was told that it was replaced under warranty for lifter tick from a very anal customer. The motor is very clean looking but thats all I know about it. It is missing the exhaust manifolds, upper intake manifold, and throttle body. The motor is located in Charlotte, NC. Local pickup only. I do not know if it is from a convertable. I do know that it was attached to an automatic transaxle.

$300

Someone please get this out of my garage!!

Thanks,
Matt

my guess is that this is the original engine that was replaced. This is the one with "lifter tick".

Matt, Do you or does your shop do engine builds? I'm looking for a built longblock to boost. Possibly something bored out a bit. If you do, any idea what the turn aroud time would be to build this block? I can call the 3SX shop tomorrow if needed. I could pick it up as I am in Durham. Thx!

Oh, is there a way to find out what the compression ratio is for this engine without taking it apart?
Want to part it out and sell me just the heads! :D
if i could take the 4 out of mine i would buy the 6th and put it in but wouldnt fit i doubt it at least
Would you be willing to part with the alternator bracket?

Yes we do engine builds good for 1000WHP if needed. Turn around time is about a month. Feel free to call the shop 704-784-3724.

I'd like to sell this motor complete. It's a killer deal for $300! How much do you want to pay for the heads and alt bracket? I guess if no one wants a complete motor I may have to break it down.
