Gauge, Hvac, Clock pod led change question

2419 Views 12 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Fin-Quick
I ordered all the leds to change the gaugeface, clockpod, and hvac controls from ugly orange to blue. Today i did the clockpod and when i was finished it wasnt as bright as i wanted, and it sorta was brighter in some spots then the others. i removed that white plastic piece in between the lcd screen and the blacking, as per the "how to" i was following. Should i have left that in so the light was evenly distributed? An another quick question. There was no amber filter that was somewhere in the screen was there. cause all i did was change the leds. thanks in advance for your help!:fever:

Can you put up the link for the how to, idk if im retarded but i cant seem to find it. you can find the bulb size here http://www.club3g.com/forum/showthread.php?t=494
if you cant do the bulbs in your rearview mirror then you deffinately shouldnt do the rest of your dash
i successfully just finished doing all my dash lights 10 mins ago. this other guy cant do the mirror
where did you get your LED's? superbrightleds.com? you probably got the wrong one. There's a 4 and 6 LED I believe. Anyway, you should've gotten the lower one. The higher one will produce those bright spots where as the lower one will distribute the light better...and yes you are supposed to remove the film behind the guage cover. I don't understand what your asking in that last part.
is there an amber filter behind the lcd screen
there is no amber filter in the clock pod as far as i can remember. There is one on the back of your gauges.....i also took the amber plastic off of my odometer.
yea i checked there mine is a diffrent buld than is listed on the sticky....

but anyway yea there is no amber filter in the clock pod.....i checked and it was a how 2 on how to put a club3g logo on the clockpod i just got confused..

idk bout behind the speedometer tho...
