Well, today my gf and I went into Ross', they sell leftover clothes... like Marshalls, ect...

Well, I walked by the section of electronics, and I noticed some Skull Candy ear buds that were 7.99.... I thought what the hell, I will buy them. Turns out they closely rival my Sony EX-51's.... They are actually louder than my Sony's, and they sound better on my ipod. On my pc, the Sony's have a slight edge, but it's not much.

Prior to these, I had some Skull Candy studio style headphones that had a built in amp and tiny subs or something... TOTAL CRAP. They were the worst headphones I've ever had in my life. Total SHIT.

These are really awesome though, and I am tempted to order some of their higher end ear buds. :hbang: I'm listening to some 36 Mafia at the moment, and they really have nice boomy bass, but it's crisp and clean at the same time.

I'd highly recommend them, even at 20 bucks or whatever retail on these are. :bigthumb::bigthumb:

Yeah, they're good earbuds. There has been a ton of good deals for these posted on slickdeals.net recently. I would recommend picking up a pair if you don't already own a set!
Thanks for the recommendation. I just ordered a pair for $15 :yesway:
You really can't go wrong, even for like 30. I have about 5 pairs of ear buds... the only ones I use are the sony ex51's, and now these if that tells you anything
I have the ones that came with the iPod, the nicer apple ones that don't stay in your ear if you move, and a pair of Sennheisser in-ear ones that don't budge a mm (but hurt after 45 minutes). None of these really make me 100% happy. These Skull Candy things should show up today, so I'll give them a trial run at the gym tonight. If they suck - so what - it's only $15.
Mare bought me Shure SE210 Sound Isolating Earphones as a gift last year; besides ear wax and a Q-tip, nothing else is going into my ear but these, they produce ridiculously good sound.
If you listen to a lot of bass-heavy music, give the V-Moda Bass a try. It's loud, sounds great, and has excellent bass reproduction.

I'm currently using Sony EX082's that came with my player, but I'm getting the V-Moda if something happens to the Sony ones.

I got the BOSE 100 dollar ones for an xmas gift. They sound good and all, But I would never buy them for myself
I'm guessing the previous pair you owned was the Skullcandy Skullcrushers. The smokin buds are great, i have a pair. VERY loud.
Picked up the skullcandy line of earbuds and they sound decent. My only issue is anytime the wire moves, rubs against my shirt, etc it introduces noise straight into my ear canal. It can be quite distracting. Then again it is probably just something that is inherent to earbuds of all brands.

No, the jacket construction affects it; I can't hear anything but my own heartbeat if my Shure's are in and there is no music playing.
After a couple trips to the gym and a few 45 minute runs, I would have to say I am VERY pleased with these. the sound is solid and rich, they stay in your ears while moving and I haven't had to max out the volume on my iPod once since switching to these. Awesome product for the price :yesway:

Which Shure do you have Sam? I like my Etymotic ER6 but the noise from the cable hitting things is annoying in the gym.
I have the Sony EX-71's, and I like them a lot. Otherwise, I might pick up a pair of these. And if anyone is curious - all of these make great purchases for frequent flyers. They aren't actively cancelling noise, but they do a damn good job muffling most of the din on the airplane.

I'm not sure if this applies to the rest of the states, but Circuit City have these earphones on sale for $9.99. I got one and they're great, especially for $10. For those that are still using the cheap iPod/Zune earphones, grab these, they'll make a huge difference.
Sweet I'll look into getting a second pair. The set I was using at work I put into mu Zune so I need a more comfortable set for my work station. :bigthumb:
:( Out of stock online and in the two nearest stores in my area. The next nearest store where it's in stock in the 5th Ave store in NYC

I've already went through three of these... They are awesome, but they just don't last.

Bose has really good, high quality earphones, however they don't stay in my ear when I run.

I recommend any Shure earphone if you want to listen to crisp, static free music, while working out. :yesway:
I have the Skull Candy Full Metal Jacket ear buds. Never did i imagine little ear buds could produce that kind of sound.
