I have a 2000 eclipse gt and when driving with low beams and fog lights everything works fine however when I switch to highbeams my fog lights turn off as they should and the highbeam indicator comes on yet the lights dim so bad you cant see anything they don't go out just incredibly dim any ideas?

Yes I have checked the bulbs they are fine not sure on the voltage I was wandering if maybe the actual dimmer switch in the car could cause this

1. Touch harnesses connectors etc. – they may be hot due to oxidation. Sometimes connectors even melted down.
2. You also may not have a good ground for high beam amps.
3. Maybe someone replaced connectors and switched the positions of 3 connector wires (this is if you were not an original owner or you did that)
